This is Wen Gan's personal blog, recording Wen Gan's personal feelings for my own records only. If you have difficulty understanding what you read, or do not know me, please try to give it a miss.

My mindset is as calm as water, composed with a touch of persistence. My status is neither high nor low; that is where I stand. Success has yet to bear fruit; knowing one's fate may bring understanding. Everything has its causes and consequences. The outcomes can only be good or bad; my only fear is that nobody will understand.

After life's great rises and falls, what does looking back taste like? A mixture of every flavour: sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, and salty. This has also helped me see some things about the world more clearly. Be persistent in moderation, ruthless only where appropriate, and trusting only to a moderate degree.

I used to enjoy writing stories, reflections, or observations about society. Now, though, I can only immerse myself in my own concerns.

This year I broke a habit: even when I already knew an answer, I still had to check it several times. I used to think that was being conscientious, but later realized it was foolish. Not every answer needs to be confirmed.

I increasingly realize that I cannot be a bad person. But I have to set myself a bottom line; without crossing that line, I cannot succeed.

Although I do not expect success, I am an ordinary mortal and cannot give up desire. I want to, but I still do not have the courage to let it go. People can relinquish it through spiritual practice, but I choose to keep stepping into the abyss of desire.

All right, I will stop writing.
